Another overcast, dampened and maybe rainy day in the highlands and a rather sunny day out in the flat is forecasted. So we decide to organize a tour to lake Baringo. Nontheless I start an early morning flight before eating breakfast to secure some air time for the day. It looks like the valley floor is just to green and moisturised this year and as soon as the sun heats the surface, clouds are building and fast they get to heavy and release their fluid weight back to earth. After our private matatu reaches the lake we switch onto a guided boat and two guys show us the fauna and the flora of the lake and the islands in the lake. In the west we see huge clouds, building in the meantime over the hill of Kabarnet. This time, back on the coast of the lake, the landing beer has another meaning. Nice alternative to a flying day, but still we hope for some kind of weather like last year at the same time.
